Bookworm Summer Reading Program
The Bookworm Summer Reading Program is back and better than ever! Summer reading sessions provide interactive instruction geared toward building reading comprehension and, most importantly, preventing the Summer Slide. In addition to interactive and engaging virtual activities, personalized feedback from a reading instructor, and reports for caregivers at the conclusion of each session, the Summer Reading Program includes Live Book Talks and monthly prizes to motivate kids to continue reading!
What is the Summer Slide?
"Summer Slide" is the loss of academic knowledge and skills- especially in reading- over the summer break. Remember how hard your child worked all year? Without consistent practice in reading over the summer, they're likely to lose some of the gains made during the school year. Good news... Professor Bookworm can help to keep your child engaged in their reading all summer long!
Live Book Talks
Introducing our brand new Live Book Talks! Join Professor Bookworm founder, Caroline Zoba, for weekly virtual book talks. Students should complete the book prior to the Live Book Talk. They'll receive an invitation after registering for the book session. Check out the schedule for the Live Book Talks.
Struggling to keep your kids motivated to do their reading? We've got you covered! For each completed Summer Session, your child will be entered into a monthly drawing. Winners will receive prizes straight to their door. Amazing books and awesome prizes... It's a win, win!
